Carmela Sutera Ruffled unclassified dresses

The lace on this gown is exquisite! The bodice is beautiful with the dropped waist and long lace sleeves. The lace is an overlay of a strapless ivory bodice. The skirt is two layers of lace as you can see towards the bottom of the dress. Underneath the dress are layers of a darker crinoline which you could take out to lighten the skirt part if you wish. Under the crinoline is an ivory colored slip. This dress is in good condition, except it does have slight dusting on the bottom and a little on the inside. The dress is not zippered because of the size of the mannequin.

Carmela Sutera uses only the finest silk and lace from Italy. She refused to buy her silks from China. She designed and created her dresses from her office in NYC. She put enormous amount of thought into her designs.

Please look at the measurements of the gown. A good seamstress can take the dress down two sizes without loosing the integrity of the gown. However we don’t recommend enlarging the gown more then one size up.
