Calla Blanche La8103 kyla Velvet unclassified dresses

This is a beautiful dress that I purchased as a sample from a bridal salon this summer.  I have lost a little weight and don't fit in it anymore.  I could have it altered, but I'm worried it might compromise the style of the dress.  I have not worn this dress to an event. I have only tried it on, but it was used to at a salon for try one. The fabric is very soft and the dress is comfortable to wear. There are no stains, tears or flaws of any kind. I wore a medium when this fit me the best. I also wore a size 8 in Jeans, but could fit into some size 10s and the dress fit me perfectly.  My bra size was a 36d or a 38c.  I'm 5'8, and I wore a 2-3" heel and the hem just grazed my toes.
